He emigrated to Australia in 1962 and began a full time career as an artist in 1969. From the early 1970's he held numerous solo exhibitions both in Australia and overseas, including two sellout New York exhibitions. In the late 1970's and 80's he travelled and painted extensively in Europe. He now lives and works in New Zealand. The top price paid at auction for one of his works was AU$2 200 in December 2018 for 'Pointsettia Time in Red Hill' , oil on canvas board, 55.5cm x 71cm, Leonard Joel Auctions. It has a similar overall style and romantic mood to the painting on offer.
